SCHOOL BUILDING:

“The Philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the Philosophy of Government the next generation”

The school was run in a rented house for the first 5 years. As the years passed, the Institution showed steady growth. After 5years of its age, sheds with asbestos sheets Were constructed.

To accommodate the growing strength the new building was constructed in the year 1986. In the year 1982 the school was upgraded and classes VIII & IX were started. In 1983 the higher classes run by the management of Archdiocese of Hyderabad as a separate school near the Church was handed over to our management and the first SSC batch was started in the year 1983- 84.

Though St.E.A.S. High School was started with humble beginning, today it had grown into a gigantic tree educating 1300 students with 35 teaching staff and 20 Non teaching staff.

To accommodate the increasing strength the second floor was constructed in the year 2000 as YKJ-2000 Wing (Yesu Kristhu Jayanthi-2000 wing)

pIt is well ventilated; well equipped and comfortable class rooms are available for all the Pupils. Each class has 2 sections as A & B. In each class room there is 1:40 teacher-pupil ratio for effective teaching-learning process which helps the teacher for individual concentration and all round development of the student.

KINDERGARTEN BLOCK:

There is a separate building for kindergarten kids which is adjacent to main school building to educate children aged between 3 – 6 years.

To enkindle the spark of education in them, we have large, modern and well equipped class rooms are there with high quality resources including educational toys, books and a computer. It has a separate dining area, en-suite wash room and toilet facilities. Class rooms are arranged into learning centres incorporating role-play, creative play and resources that encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills, language skills, early science and mathematic skills as well as a spacious library are present.

Montessori class rooms are resourced with imported Montessori specialized equipment are indeed a boon to students. Our modern facilities are equipped to the highest standard and regularly updated and monitored for safety.

MAIN BLOCK:

The main school building is two storied. All the official activities and correspondence of school is carried out from the ground floor which consists of Headmistress office, Fee collection block, Computer Lab, Auditorium, Audio visual lab and Gents teachers’ staff room.

All Primary classes, Physical Educational department, Digital class rooms and Lady teachers' staff room are in first floor. All higher class rooms, Library and Science laboratory are in second floor. Spacious corridors are available on both sides of the class rooms for fresh ventilation. Spacious class rooms can open up the minds of pupils for effective learning process.

HOSTEL:

The School is established mainly to educate the rural children. In order to accommodate the children who are far, the hostel is attached to the school.

TRANSPORTATION :

There are five buses available to transport the children from various villages which are far away from Kisannagar.

AUDITORIUM :

A Large Rectangle- shaped auditorium facilitates nearly 1000 students and capable of accommodating a fully-staged production. We offer a comprehensive performing arts programmes to our students.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION:

“A Sound mind in a sound body”

We can divide our play ground in to categories. The School is concerned with the physical health and fitness of the students. We have Volley ball, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi courts in the play ground. There is a well established basket ball court.

COMPUTER AND SCIENCE LABS:

There is a well established computer lab with 30 sophisticated systems. Through which our students can access the modern information and technical knowledge.

SCIENCE LAB:

TO improve the practical knowledge we have sophisticated science laboratory.

through practicals and observations the objective learning by doing is achieved among the students. We have natural sciences and physical sciences laboratories equipped with modern apparatus.

LIBRARY:

“A Library is the delivery room for the birth of ideas, where history comes to life"

Our Library provides as a media center to ensure that all members of the school community have equitable access to book reading, to collect information about technology. It is updated with 500 volumes. Internet is used for gathering informative subjects and topics. It is a learner oriented laboratory which support, extend and individualize the school’s curriculum.

AUDIO VISUAL LAB:

Audio visual education is launched in our school where we can learn more through audio visual presentation for improved comprehension and retention. Education CD’s and DVD’s on different languages and content subjects are made available in the audio visual lab for the students from LKG to X for improving their pronunciation, Spellings and usage of grammar etc.

EDUCOMPTM SMART CLASSES :

School provides an excellent Educomp and Smart classes’ digital teaching system for all the students where students are inspired to learn better through practical observation on silver screen. Every lesson form every subject is shown very clearly through audio and visual for better understanding of the students. 8

MID-DAY MEALS SCHEME:

The Midday meals scheme is a multi-faceted programme of Govt. of India. It is sanctioned to our school children. It gives food security, Nutritious diet and access to education on a pan nation scale. It involves provision for free lunch on all working days for children. It improves the nutritional status of children, encouraging and helping poor children belonging to disadvantaged sections helps them to attend more regularly and concentrate on class room activities there by increasing the enrollment, retention and attendance rates. Our school strives untiringly to foster social equality, to promote community participation and to women empowerment.
